Apple is promoting the goal of using clean energy, supporting 10 renewable energy projects, including in Vietnam. These projects are designed to provide a new source of renewable energy to disadvantaged communities.
In Vietnam, Apple supports a program to provide solar power to 20 schools nationwide. The goal of the program is to help educate thousands of children about sustainable development and STEM.
Apple said it has doubled the number of suppliers. Committed to using 100% clean energy in the past year. The company is also speeding up its goal of achieving carbon neutrality across its entire supply chain and products by 2030.
Currently, Apple has asked 175 suppliers to switch to renewable energy. The company's US headquarters and global stores and branches also aim to use more than 9 gigawatts of clean energy globally. According to calculations, this will help reduce more than 18 million tons of CO2 annually, equivalent to removing 4 million cars from the road every year.
